Okay, so I know I'm southern...all you northerners go ahead and snicker. But it's cold here today! The wind is what makes it all unbearable...I can handle low temperatures...but that crazy wind whipping around and making the cars go rocking on the roads - not my idea of a good time!
This morning I took my Mom to her appointment with her cancer specialist... I can never remember his title....but he is a wonderful guy and she just adores him. He told her everything was good and that he'd see her in a year. Recently she has had to change surgeons as the doctor who actually performed her surgery died in early November of last year. He was remarkable - we all loved him very much - and it is so sad to think that he is gone. She still had to see him every six months as well so she is going to try another doctor in the practice.
I awoke this morning and looked outside the window - hoping to see some snow. Looking back at the calendar last year, we had snow in January - on a Wednesday. These are important details to The Doodlebug as she likes to keep all things in perspective. I mean, if we have snow sometimes in April...there's still hope, right? Even though that was a million years ago when I was a little girl.
We went to my parents house yesterday for hotdogs and chili and 86ed karate for the night as we weren't sure if they would meet or not. We had a good time sitting around and watching Deal or No Deal. I really don't watch much TV anymore - not sure when that happened - but I am looking forward to Lost returning tomorrow night. That will have to be my one guilty pleasure.
