Have You Twilight-ed yet?

Oh my goody goodness! I picked The Doodlebug up from her grandparents today and surprised her by taking her to see Twilight after my morning class. Let me just say - I thought it was incredible! We had originally thought we wouldn't get to see it until Wednesday - didn't dare attempt the theaters Friday night, as that was also date night around here, but we went this afternoon....

I thought it was great. I think the casting was great and now I'm excited to find out that Summit Entertainment is in talks to produce New Moon...ah! More Twilighty goodness :)

BTW, I think I still have claw marks on my arm from when The Doodlebug attacked me when "Edward" walked onto the scene. And you should have heard the lady sitting behind us -she had me in stitches! All in all, I'm glad that we saw it. I'm glad that I had read the books beforehand, too. In a word :A W E S O M E !

And with that, I'll bid you all a goodnight. Enjoy your Gobble Gobble this week. And thank you all for your continued prayers. I really do appreciate them. Hopefully I'll be around a little more frequently.

Big hugs,
The Momster

We went to see Fireproof tonight. It was a good movie. If you haven't heard of it, it's about a couple who seem to be in a dead marriage. Needless to say, you could hear some sniffles in the auditorum...and quite a few of them were coming from me.

School has gotten a lot harder. I've lost 30 pounds since I started my 'diet' about a month and a half ago. I am still having a hard time with some personal issues so if you don't hear from me, know that I try to check in and read about once a week. My heart and brain are just distracted elsewhere. But I know that if God brought me to it, he will bring me through it, right?

Please continue to tell the important people in your life just exactly how much they mean to you.

Big Hugs,
The Momster

Happy (Belated) Halloween

Hi bloggy buddies:

I hope this message finds you all feeling relaxed and ready for the upcoming holiday season. We had a great Halloween here. My parents came down and gave out candy while we went trick-or-treating. Sadly, there were not a lot of kids out in our neighborhood. I think it's odd that some years we have A LOT of kids and others, it's like a slow drip.

The Doodlebug had two of her friends come over to go begging for candy with her. They had a good time. One friend went as a karate person - she actually just came over from her karate class. ????? Her other friend went as Autumn, Mother Nature's daughter...aka she was a fairy. The Doodlebug went as the Midnight Fairy. Her costume was really easy to make once I figured out how to make a tutu. But imagine how crazy I looked while sitting in the car rider line Friday afternoon - tying on all the tulle to make the skirt! Yes, nothing like waiting till the last minute!

We didn't decorate the house this year and I'm disappointed in that. There's always next year though to make everything feel especially 'fall-like'. I have really been enjoying the leaves all changing colors. I find it very relaxing to look at the foliage when I'm driving to and from school. We had hoped to make a road trip to the mountains this past weekend, but The Doodlebug really hasn't been feeling well the past few weeks. In fact, after her friends left Saturday mid-morning, she took a shower and stayed in her bed the rest of the day.

So what about you? What did you do this past weekend?
