Day One - Mission Accomplished

Well, the first day of school was a major accomplishment - The Doodlebug had a great day. She said that her classes seem okay - she's super excited about her science class, which she informed me is really earth science. They'll be doing lab experiments, which really made her happy. She has classes with her best buds, which always makes the transition easier. She said lunch is a little weird, because they have to sit at assigned tables. But overall, she was happy when she got into the Momstermobile this afternoon.

The funniest thing we have encountered lately is everyone telling her how much she's changed. Two moms called over the weekend and said if they hadn't seem me at Meet the Teacher with her, they would have never recognized her. I told her tonight before bed that sometime tomorrow we need to see how much she's grown.

The camera battery died in the midst of the morning picture taking - but here is a snapshot of her before leaving home....

Yep...she's definitely looking like a Middle Schooler! I'm glad she had a great first day.

It's funny, Ryan seems to have changes tremendously over summer, too. His face looks older and he's gotten taller...and then there's the HAIR. A lot of it. But Zach still looks like an 8 yr old.
